State Duma deputy Yuri Shvytkin said that the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Rostov-on-Don, which injured more than 10 people, may be related to the upcoming talks between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

"I think today the Ukrainian Armed Forces will make every effort to disrupt the negotiations. They will organize provocations, making every effort to ensure that Russia's response leads to the cancellation of the meeting between Putin and Trump," the deputy stressed.

He noted that in the current situation it is especially important to realize the importance of the upcoming negotiations and demonstrate unity. The politician stressed that if no agreement can be reached at the leaders' meeting, Russia's response to the attacks will be inevitable.

According to him, there is still a chance to reach an agreement, but Russia insists on eliminating the root causes of the conflict so that it does not become a burden for future generations.
