Actress Sanayeva urged not to be afraid to show Balabanov's films to young people
The work of director Alexei Balabanov, whose films are discussed by deputies of the State Duma and film critics, should not be afraid to show young people. Actress Elena Sanaeva told Izvestia about this on August 14.
"In general, I am not a great connoisseur of Balabanov's work, but I know that serious filmmakers take his work seriously," Sanaeva said.
She stressed that the modern generation of teenagers is quite smart. However, adults need to have knowledge and be able to communicate their point of view in order to talk to them. And besides, to respect the representatives of the younger generation.
"Our teenagers are pretty smart, both girls and boys...> You need to talk trustfully and intelligently, you need to be equipped, you need to respect a teenager, and then he will understand everything," said the actress.
On the same day, information appeared in the media that Elena Drapeko, a deputy of the State Duma (DG), an Honored Artist of Russia, proposed banning Balabanov's films that do not correspond to spiritual and moral values. However, later in an interview with Izvestia, Drapeko denied these statements, noting that her words about the ban on Balabanov's films were distorted. According to her, there was a conversation specifically about the film "Cargo-200" and whether it should be shown to schoolchildren as part of lessons.
