The Ministry of Justice has added Reporters Without Borders to the list of undesirable organizations in the Russian Federation.

The international organization Reporters Without Borders has been declared undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation. This follows from the updated list of the Ministry of Justice, published on the agency's website on August 14.

The non-governmental organization Reporters Without Borders was founded in France in 1985. The Ministry of Justice's list also includes the American Group 36 ("Group 36").

The State Duma is preparing amendments to the draft law on the seizure of property of citizens who oppose the interests of the Russian Federation abroad.

Earlier on the same day, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation declared undesirable the activities of a foreign non-governmental organization Demokrati-JA e.V. It was clarified that this was due to anti-Russian public actions and the dissemination of materials discrediting the domestic and foreign policy of the Russian Federation.
