Russian newlyweds got married at the India Day festival, which takes place in Moscow. They shared this with Izvestia on August 14.

Spouses Tatiana and Dmitry started a family 18 years ago, but decided to update their wedding vows in a non-standard way. The couple is also known to have two children.

"We went to such an event once and got the idea. It's beautiful, unusual and atmospheric," the young people said.

At the beginning of the event, the newlyweds were joined by Sammy Kotwani, the founder of the festival and president of the Sita Indian Cultural and National Center, who sang and danced with the newlyweds.

Tatiana noted that an Indian wedding is good because not only relatives come, but also everyone who wants to, which makes the celebration more fun.

The India Day Festival, dedicated to the 79th Independence Day of the country, takes place in the capital's Island of Dreams Park from August 14 to 17.

On July 8, the opening of the II All-Russian Wedding Festival took place at the Rossiya National Center in Moscow. According to Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the event became a significant event, as more than 200 Russians tied the knot these days. In addition, he stressed that the support of a large and strong extended family is a priority of the Russian government.
