The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, August 14, on Mashinostroiteley Avenue in the area of house No. 3a. According to preliminary data, a 49-year-old Volkswagen Tiguan driver ran over a 68-year-old woman who ran onto the road.

She tried to cross the roadway at a pedestrian crossing, but at a forbidding traffic light. Judging by the video from the scene, the pensioner entered the avenue at a time when cars were actively moving along it.

As a result of the collision, the woman received various injuries. She was hospitalized in a medical facility, the news agency " <url>" clarifies. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being established.

On July 21, in the Amur region, a 16-year-old teenager driving a truck hit a seven-year-old girl who ran into the roadway. The baby was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
