Elena Jaya called the performance at the Gorbunov Recreation Center — legend of Russian Rock a challenge

The invitation to perform at the legendary festival "Gorbunova DC — legend of Russian rock" became a real challenge. On August 14, singer Elena Jaya shared with Izvestia her emotions from the upcoming performance, which will take place on August 31.

"It's such a challenge for me. They offered to take part, and we gladly decided to accept this challenge. <...> This festival has an interesting moment. There are only two bands with female vocals announced in the line-up, and this is also part of the challenge. That's why, to be honest, I'm looking forward to it," she clarified.

The singer shared that her "Hunchback" is associated with music and technological progress, since all her school years were spent there in search of new products and other things that could not be found anywhere else. She clarified that after that, they started looking for new gadgets on the territory of the recreation center, which were also only there.

Jaya noted that she has always been close to and interested in the style of rock music. According to her, listeners often expressed the opinion that the band sounds the most interesting and vivid in the rock format.

However, she clarified that the music project currently sounds a little different than before. Jaya added that the band started with the indie rock genre, but now their music is changing. According to her, at the Gorbunov Recreation Center — Legend of Russian Rock, musicians get the opportunity to "combine the incompatible" and return to a vibrant format.

"There will be a few songs from the new EP, which are as rocky as possible. There will also be one folk song, which is very significant and powerful for me and for the whole band, which we made in just such an alternative sound, completely non—folk," the singer added.

In addition, Jaya expressed a desire to get to know other musicians participating in the festival, since for her rock is the music on which she and the other members of the group grew up.

Earlier, on August 11, it became known that Russian rock bands will present new songs as part of the festival "D.K. Gorbunova - legend of Russian rock". It was clarified that the Lampasy ensemble will perform with the premieres, rapper Artem Sagrada will perform his new track "Objective Control". The leader of the Agatha Christie group, Vadim Samoilov, also shared that the band will present two new compositions.
