Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will hold a joint press conference following talks in Alaska. This was announced by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"After the talks, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will hold a joint press conference," Ushakov said at a briefing.

He added that at a press conference, the presidents would summarize the results of the meeting in Alaska.

At the briefing, Ushakov also said that the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska would begin at about 11:30 a.m. local time (22:30 a.m. Moscow time). According to him, after the meeting, negotiations will take place as part of the delegations, they will continue over a working breakfast. The central topic of the talks will be the Ukrainian crisis.

On August 8, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Alaska on August 15. In turn, Ushakov then called the choice of a place for negotiations logical. He said that the economic interests of the states intersect in the region.
