In July of this year, more than 10,000 phone numbers of fraudsters were blocked through the Security Center of the new Russian messenger MAX. As reported by VK's press service on August 14, fraudsters most often posed as law enforcement officials, government agencies, or represented themselves as bank employees.

More than 32,000 malicious and spam documents were also deleted before they could harm users.

"The security Center transmits information about fraudsters to the Russian Ministry of Finance and permanently blocks accounts that attempted fraudulent actions on the platform," the press release says.

Leading companies in the field of cybersecurity are actively involved in the activities of the MAX Messenger Security Center, thus they are resolutely fighting unscrupulous behavior on the platform. Automated systems monitor user requests around the clock, the report says.

Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, reported on August 6 that the mandatory pre-installation of the MAX messenger on all new smartphones in Russia will begin on September 1. He stressed that in addition to the standard functions for correspondence and calls, Public Services and a digital signature are integrated into MAX.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
