Cutting-edge developments, including in the field of unmanned systems, must meet business needs and be quickly put into practice. This was announced on August 14 by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his greeting to the participants of the International Forum "Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future".

"It is extremely important that the advanced achievements of our design and research teams fully meet the needs of business and quickly progress from experiments and testing to widespread implementation," the Russian leader said, his words are quoted on the Kremlin's website.

In addition, the President of the Russian Federation expressed confidence that the forum would demonstrate the potential of the unmanned systems industry and allow it to launch in-demand projects.

According to Putin, the event brought together famous scientists, engineers, young inventors, and entrepreneurs from dozens of countries in Moscow. At the exhibition, participants will be able to see autonomous trains, combines, aircraft, and robotic complexes.

Earlier, on August 8, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev said that Russia was ahead of many countries in the development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies. He noted that new domestic developments in drone technology have reached the level of China.

On August 1, a new Class H airspace for drone flights was installed in Russia. Such an initiative will allow the development of civilian unmanned aircraft, as well as ensure flight safety in the country.
