The British authorities have abandoned their plans to deploy military personnel on the territory of Ukraine as part of the initiative of the coalition of the Willing. This was reported on August 14 by The Times newspaper.

"The British military leadership rejected the idea of deploying a 30,000-strong contingent to protect the ports and cities of Ukraine," the article says.

Now, London is reportedly offering a more "realistic mission," including providing air security over Western Ukraine, training support for the Ukrainian military, and clearing mines in the Black Sea.

On August 10, The Times learned about the unwillingness of the "coalition of the willing" to send troops to Ukraine. It is specified that, as an alternative, the participating countries intend to strengthen the military-industrial complex (MIC) of the Kiev regime.

As Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted on July 17, Russia will consider the multinational forces proposed for deployment in Ukraine by the "coalition of the willing" as legitimate military targets. The diplomat added that Moscow has repeatedly pointed out the "absolute unacceptability" of deploying the armed forces of other states under any flag in Ukraine.
