Russia occupies one of the leading positions among the countries that invest in the Kyrgyz economy. The corresponding address by Russian President Vladimir Putin was read out by Igor Maslov, Head of the Presidential Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, at the opening of the VII Kyrgyz Economic Forum on August 14.

"Our country occupies a leading position among the states investing in the Kyrgyz economy. This became possible thanks to the active work of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which invested over 2.5 thousand projects," RIA Novosti quotes the contents of the statement by the President of the Russian Federation.

Putin noted that relations between Moscow and Bishkek are successfully developing within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance. In addition, he wished the participants of the newly launched forum success and expressed hope for the implementation of initiatives that will be discussed within its framework.

On July 27, Putin congratulated Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on Eternal Friendship, Alliance and Partnership between Moscow and Bishkek. According to the President of the Russian Federation, it marked the beginning of the current stage of interstate relations and created beneficial conditions for bilateral dialogue and cooperation, which is carried out in various strategically important areas.
