The FSB of Russia revealed the details of preventing the development of the Sapsan missile defense system by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

On August 14, the FSB of Russia revealed details of a joint operation with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to prevent the development by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the Sapsan operational and tactical complex capable of striking deep into Russian territory.

According to the FSB, information about the start of Ukraine's production of OTRK was received back in 2024. It is specified that the data was received after the implementation of technical penetration into the Ukrainian military-industrial complexes (MIC).

In addition, the specialists managed to uncover the facilities involved in the development of the Sapsan, as well as the German side's involvement in financing the AFU missile program and compromising materials on the heads of the military-industrial complex, who discussed the details of the creation of the OTRK.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have launched multiple attacks on ground and underground facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Sumy regions of Ukraine. As a result of successful actions, Ukrainian plans to develop the Sapsan missile defense system were thwarted.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian military personnel had prevented the development of the Sapsan missile defense system. It is specified that this complex was capable of striking at a distance of up to 750 km. To accomplish the task, the Russian Armed Forces attacked four facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
