Calculation of the Lancet ammunition destroyed the M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region

The calculation of the Lancet barrage ammunition of the 52nd Guards Artillery Brigade of the Airborne Troops (Airborne Forces) from the Dnepr group of forces destroyed an American-made M777 howitzer and a Bogdan self-propelled artillery installation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. This was announced on August 14 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

A reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), flying over Ukrainian territory, revealed the camouflaged positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — the American 155-millimeter M777 howitzer and the Bogdana self-propelled gun. These artillery systems were used to attack Russian artillery.

The coordinates of the identified targets were promptly transmitted to the command post, from where an order was received to destroy them with Lancet barrage ammunition. The Lancet crew completed the task, successfully hitting both guns, and the ZALA reconnaissance UAV recorded the defeat of targets.

On August 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of an artillery position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the calculation of M-46 howitzers of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces. After the crews carried out the firing action, they camouflaged the guns and moved into cover.
