The crew of an army aviation helicopter Mi-28NM destroyed the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who were located in a wooded area in the area of responsibility of the military group "Center" of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on August 14 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Today we completed a combat mission as part of a pair of two Mi-28 helicopters. An enemy manpower was attacked," said the crew commander with the call sign Athlete.

It is noted that the strike was carried out with the help of aircraft missiles at enemy targets. According to the reports of the aircraft manufacturer, the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed.

After the strike, the crew performed an anti-missile maneuver, released heat traps and returned to the home airfield.

On August 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the destruction of an artillery position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the calculation of M-46 howitzers of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces.
