Exercises of the Northern Fleet with the participation of 14 ships and 2,000 personnel began in the Barents and White Seas. This was announced on August 13 by the press service of the fleet.

"Today, the Northern Fleet, under the leadership of Fleet Commander Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov, began a command and staff training on command and control of forces and troops. "The practical actions of the military authorities and forces (troops) will take place in the waters of the Barents and White Seas, on the coast of the Kola Peninsula and the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago," TASS quoted the text of the statement.
