The Soviet commentator Boris Skripko passed away

Sports commentator Boris Skripko died at the age of 80. This was announced on August 13 by Sport-Express.

"Boris Sergeyevich was the voice of Russian boxing, he worked at the 1980 Olympics and at many other major tournaments," the publication's Telegram channel says.

Skripko started working on television in 1979, during his career he voiced competitions at 11 Olympic Games.

According to a TASS source, the commentator died in hospital due to cancer.
