German tennis player Mats Rosenkrantz was disqualified for taking a shower during halftime of a Challenger tournament match in Hersonissos, Greece. This was reported on August 13 by The Tennis Gazette.

"Mats Rosenkrantz was disqualified in Greece for showering during a match," the publication says.

According to the publication, at the end of the game, which he won against Italian Pietro Fellina with a score of 7:5, Rosenkranz decided to take a shower before returning to the court.

It clarifies that players are not allowed to shower during matches, the exception to the rule is the matches of the Grand Slam tournament, consisting of five sets. This rule was introduced to reduce the risk of players using doping during the games.

Rosenkranz said he was unaware of this rule, noting that he took a shower for "only ten seconds," but was not allowed to continue participating in the tournament.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced on August 15 that the 145th racket of the world Tara Moore was disqualified for four years due to violations of anti-doping rules.
