The Russian Ministry of Education has developed recommendations for optimizing the educational burden for schoolchildren, which include lesson schedules for grades 1-11 in the 2025/26 academic year. This was reported on the agency's website on August 13.

"Each school will be able to adapt the timetable model to its own conditions within the framework of uniform federal requirements. The recommendations have been coordinated with Rospotrebnadzor and brought to the subjects of the Russian Federation," the Ministry of Education noted.

The recommendations include five timetable options for primary general education (grades 1-4), six options for basic general education (grades 5-9), and 19 options for secondary general education (grades 10-11).

In addition, each version of the schedule provides for classes from the "Talking about important things" cycle to be held in the first lesson, and on Thursdays for students in grades 6-11 there are classes in the career guidance course "Russia - my Horizons".

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin announced on August 12 that Russia plans to work out proposals to reduce the burden on schoolchildren. According to him, the majority of Russians are of the opinion that it is necessary to reduce the burden on schoolchildren, since it is excessive.
