Latvia proposed to ban bus flights to the Union State
The Latvian Ministry of Transport has proposed banning irregular passenger bus services to Russia and Belarus. This was announced on August 13 by gosteleradio LSM.
"The Ministry of Transport proposes to ban irregular passenger transportation by bus to Russia and Belarus from October 15 this year," the publication says.
It is specified that we are talking about one-time trips along a pre-planned route. Excursions, sports games, or other similar events are given as examples. At the same time, it is noted that regular flights to both countries will remain.
Earlier, on June 29, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced the formation of 27 engineering parks with dragon's teeth, anti-tank hedgehogs and other means of counter-mobility on the border with Belarus and Russia. It was clarified that Lithuania, together with Latvia, Estonia and Poland, undertook the initiation of a project to protect the eastern border of the European Union. It is expected that the project will strengthen the 2.3 thousand km border with Russia and Belarus.
