Rosneft planted 37 million trees and reduced water consumption

The Board of Directors of PJSC NK Rosneft has approved the Sustainability Report for 2024. The document prepared in accordance with GRI 2021 standards reflects the results of work in economic, environmental, social and cultural areas. This was announced by the company's press service.

The company has maintained its status as the largest taxpayer, and has made significant contributions to national projects, infrastructure, and social initiatives in medicine, education, culture, and the environment.

The volume of "green" investments in 2024 amounted to 74 billion rubles, and in three years — almost 200 billion rubles. The funds are aimed at improving the reliability of pipelines, recycling associated gas and reducing emissions. More than 11 million trees have been planted, and in three years — about 37 million, which is comparable in area to the area of Paris. The share of recycled water exceeded 93.7%, which reduced the consumption of fresh water; wastewater management costs amounted to 12 billion rubles. Since 2022, more than 280 hectares of land have been reclaimed, of which 45 hectares in 2024.

Within the framework of the Tamura program, five expeditions were conducted in the Arctic, polar bears, reindeer and rare birds were studied; almost 20 thousand km were covered.

The company is developing its own software: the portfolio includes 24 products, 17 are implemented. In 2024, more than 1,100 innovative developments were registered.

Special attention is paid to working conditions, especially in remote regions. The concept of a "smart village" with digital services is developing.

Social projects include the construction of a 320-bed kindergarten in Nizhnevartovsk, an educational center in Bashkortostan, the reconstruction of schools in Syzran, the opening of a polyclinic in Ufa and the supply of medical equipment to the regions.

In 2024, almost 2 thousand events were held within the framework of the "Platform of Good Deeds" with the participation of 106 thousand employees. About 128,000 employees are involved in the Energy of Life sports program.
