A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlements of Suvorovo and Nikanorovka in the DPR. As a result of the group's actions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost over 385 militants, an infantry fighting vehicle, six Kazak armored vehicles, a pickup truck and an artillery piece.

At the same time, the Vostok group of forces continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, while the Zapad and Yuzhnaya groups improved their positions.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades, two coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Stepnogorsk, Primorskoye, Kamenskoye, Yurkovka, Novoandreevka of the Zaporizhia region and Burgunka of the Kherson region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Army hit temporary locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in 136 districts. The Air Defense Forces, in turn, shot down four US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) projectiles, nine guided aerial bombs and 240 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the Kiev regime lost 665 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 76,916 UAVs, 625 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,559 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,585 MLRS combat vehicles, 28,456 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 39,598 units of special military vehicles.
