More than 46,000 government agencies rejected the offer to post a portrait of King Charles III for free. This was reported on August 13 in The Guardian.

"This refusal was made against the background of a steady decline in the proportion of adults who believe that the monarchy is useful for the UK: from 60% in July 2019 to 51% in March 2024," the article says.

It is known that as part of the festive campaign dedicated to the beginning of the reign of King Charles III, free portraits of the king were offered to all government agencies. It is noted that the list of institutions that declined the offer is not being distributed.

On August 8, Buckingham Palace announced that British monarch Charles III will deliver an audio message to the nation on the 15th of this month. It is noted that the appeal will be timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day, when the Allied forces celebrated victory at the end of World War II.
