Almost 40% of Germans were less satisfied with the government of Chancellor Friedrich Merz than with his predecessor, the coalition government of former Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This was stated on August 13 in a survey conducted by the Civey Research Institute for the portal web.de .

According to the survey, 39% of Germans are less satisfied with the work of the Merz government than with the work of the Cabinet of his predecessor Scholz. On the contrary, 34% of respondents rate the work of Merz's office more positively. Another 26% gave the two cabinets the same job ratings.

In addition, almost half (49%) of the respondents stated that the federal government would not contribute to the development of the country in any of the spheres of life.

On August 9, almost two-thirds of German residents in a survey expressed dissatisfaction with the federal government and Chancellor Merz, who had been in power for 100 days at that time. It is noted that only 27% of respondents reported that they were satisfied with the actions of the head of government.
