The "Battle of Running Clubs" will take place in Moscow on August 16

On August 16, the Luzhniki Sports Complex will turn into the arena of a unique event of the season – the second official "Battle of Running Clubs".

The event will bring together over 80 clubs representing the country's strongest and most ambitious running communities. The participants will demonstrate fortitude, speed and skill in three different disciplines – the 3000 m, the Swedish relay (1600/1200/800/400 m) and the 4×100 m relay.

The athletics competition will bring together more than 2,000 participants and guests. To become the fastest club, you need to conquer the track in each of the distances. The higher the place, the more points will go to the club's piggy bank. The winner is the one with the most points.

The strongest athletes will take part, including MSMK, multiple champion of Russia in 5000 and 1500 m running Svetlana Aplachkina, champion of Russia in 10,000 m running Maria Ermakova, multiple champion of Russia in 3000m steeplechase Maxim Yakushev, winner and prize-winner of the Russian championships in 3000m steeplechase 3000 m steeplechase, Russian cross-country champion Eduard Batyrshin, Belarusian track and field athlete, MSMK, Belarusian record holder in 1500 m running Ilya Karnaukhov, as well as Roman Mineev, Pavel Adyshkin, Evgeny Volkov, Lilia Mendayeva, Nigina Tukhtaeva and others.

In addition, guests and participants will enjoy a rich entertainment program: a sports and entertainment zone from the All-Russian Athletics Federation, lotteries, a performance by cheerleaders, recovery areas, a bright show, a general run for everyone and a disco with incendiary tracks by the best DJs right on the track.
