The Sollers Group has localized the production of frames for the Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickup truck line at the facilities of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant's subsidiary, UAZ-Stamping Production LLC. This was reported to Izvestia on August 13 by the company's press service.

The first pilot batch of frames has been released on a new production line created as part of the investment project. The design capacity of the line is up to 10.5 thousand frames per year, the total investment in its creation amounted to about 200 million rubles.

"Launching our own production of frames for Sollers pickups guarantees us stable quality of a critically important vehicle component, increased production flexibility and a significant reduction in logistical costs and risks associated with external supplies," said Alexey Spirin, CEO of UAZ LLC.

The production line is equipped with modern equipment, including specialized welding conductors, a stand for online hydraulic punching of suspension mounting holes and an automated straightening stand. Automation of the straightening process completely eliminates manual labor, which ensures high accuracy and stability of the frame geometry on all vehicles.

Earlier, on August 7, it became known that a new metal laser cutting site was launched at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, which will increase the volume of production of UAZ Pickup and UAZ Profi models with a double cabin by 30%, as well as improve product quality.
