- The ruling party of Georgia has published an election video with footage from Ukraine.
The ruling Georgian Dream party in Georgia has released an election video featuring footage of the devastation in Ukraine.
The video was released on the party's official Facebook page (a social network banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, and recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) for the local government elections.
"The world of Georgia is bigger than the life of Tbilisi," the description of the material says.
The left side of the video shows black-and-white footage of the destruction in Ukraine due to the military conflict with an inscription against military action. On the right side there are shots of Georgian landmarks with the inscription "Choose peace".
Earlier, on February 19, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said she was glad that her country had not followed Ukraine's example and was not "on the same train" with her. According to her, earlier the idea was imposed on the Georgian society that if you do not get on this "train", the country will allegedly miss its chance.
