One person died as a result of a fire in Biysk

In Biysk, one person died as a result of a fire in an apartment building. This was announced on August 13 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Altai Territory.

"A fire broke out in an apartment in a five—story apartment building in Biysk on Shkolshchny Lane last night," the department's Telegram channel says.

The fire area was 5 sq. m. It is specified that eight residents were evacuated. The owner of the apartment that caught fire died.

Four units of special equipment and 14 specialists were involved in extinguishing the fire. The probable cause of the incident is carelessness while smoking.

On August 13, a source from Izvestia reported a fire in one of the administrative buildings of the city of Shchelkovo. Later, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Moscow region reported that the fire had been extinguished.
