In the Zaeltsovsky district of the Novosibirsk region, a fatal accident occurred — the driver of a car hit a cyclist, he died from his injuries. This was announced on August 13 by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

"The male driver, born in 1977, driving a Volvo <...>, according to preliminary information, drove onto the sidewalk, where he hit a cyclist who was moving in the opposite direction," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the tragedy occurred at 23:20 (local time, 19:20 Moscow time). The statement noted that the identity of the deceased man, whose age outwardly varies from 30 to 35 years, is being established. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and representatives of the investigative task force are working on the site.

The prosecutor's office of Primorsky Krai a day earlier reported the death of a minor passenger and the injury of three others in an accident on the highway A-370 "Ussuri" Khabarovsk – Vladivostok. The deceased teenager was in a car driven by a driver who had not reached the age of majority.
