In Anchorage, Alaska, where Russian President Vladimir Putin and White House President Donald Trump are likely to meet, there is a park with birch trees that resembles Russian landscapes. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on August 13.

"Everything in this park resembles Russia, there are even birch trees here," said Vladimir Artyukhov, a correspondent for Izvestia, who went in search of places with a Russian spirit in Anchorage.

The correspondent clarified that the presence of birch trees is very rare for the mainland of the United States.

He also visited the Russian Jack Plaza shopping center, located near St. Innocent's Cathedral, which is the spiritual center of Orthodox believers. In the numerous shops on the territory of the shopping center, you can buy goods and products familiar to Russians.

On August 12, Artyukhov visited a possible venue for talks between the presidents of Russia and the United States. According to him, there are currently few people on the territory of the hotel, which is probably caused by rooms that have been sold out for the duration of the negotiations.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
