Starting from September 1, a new procedure for determining the average monthly salary will come into force in Russia, which contains several advantages for working people. This was announced on August 13 by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"One of the changes is the inclusion of not only bonuses, but also monetary incentives for employees in the calculation of average earnings. This, of course, is an obvious plus for the employee," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, the deputy noted that there will be a new separate calculation rule for the payment of severance pay. It will be paid by multiplying the average earnings per day by the average number of working days during the month.

The innovation also establishes that for general accounting of working hours, severance pay will be calculated by multiplying the average earnings per hour by the average number of monthly working hours per year.

He clarified that in other cases, the calculation rules will remain the same. In addition, another advantage for employees is that all regulatory legal acts that were in force in this area earlier are no longer valid.
