Dmitriev commented on the leak of classified information about Trump
Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), commented on information about the leak of classified information about US President Donald Trump in 2017 on August 12.
Earlier in the day, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt spoke in more detail about the report of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblower. According to her, then-Congressman Adam Schiff approved the leak in order to denigrate Trump and point out his involvement in the Rashagate scandal.
In response to Leavitt's words, Dmitriev said that information leaks and media manipulation against Trump were also arranged to denigrate Russia.
"Leaks and manipulations in the media aimed at denigrating both Trump and Russia," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
On August 13, Dmitriev called on Trump to correct Biden's mistakes. That's how he commented on the White House's post calling for Trump to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
