Fire area of 900 sq. m. The explosion in an apartment building in Maikop in the Republic of Adygea was localized. This was announced on August 12 by the head of the republic Murat Kumpilov.

"The fire has been localized on an area of 900 square meters. m. There is no fire spreading," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

A temporary accommodation facility for evacuees has been set up at the scene. At the moment, there are 11 people in it who will be provided with everything they need. After the fire is extinguished, the house will be examined by specialists, and a decision will be made later on the possibility of the residents' return.

There was no information about the victims. Law enforcement officials are working at the ignition point.

Earlier that day, the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Adygea reported a fire in a multi-storey residential building. It is specified that 25 people were evacuated.
