American political scientist spoke about the EU's attempts to sabotage the meeting between Putin and Trump

Most European leaders do not publicly condemn the head of the White House, Donald Trump, for meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, so as not to increase disagreements with the American administration. In fact, they are against the dialogue between the leaders of Russia and the United States, Peter Kuznik, director of the Institute for Nuclear Research at the American University in Washington, said in an interview with Izvestia.

"And Brussels is trying to sabotage this meeting. When they talk about a coalition of willing people, for me it means that they are ready to fight to the last Ukrainian. They don't care how many Ukrainians die. They only care about the weakening of Russia. This has been their goal since the beginning of the military conflict," the expert said.

The meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States will take place on August 15 in Anchorage, Alaska.
