Endoscopic diagnosis of the gastrointestinal tract in Moscow has become as accessible as possible — patients with referral can be examined in a few days. This was announced on Tuesday, August 12, by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

According to her, this became possible thanks to a network of modern endoscopic centers, the retrofitting of polyclinics and the digitalization of doctors' work.

According to her, such deadlines are especially important for the early detection of cancer, writes "Moscow 24". In two months, more than 22 thousand people were examined as part of a pilot preventive project, 40% were diagnosed with a helicobacter infection, which made it possible to prevent the development of serious diseases, the website reports kp.ru . Since the launch of the project, over 70 thousand Muscovites have signed up for gastro and colonoscopy, writes RT.

Registration is possible online, the research is carried out free of charge according to compulsory medical insurance without hospitalization: gastroscopy — under local anesthesia, gastro- and colonoscopy — under mild sedation. An express test for helicobacter is also performed during the procedure, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
