The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation talked about the exploits of Russian servicemen in their combat zone

On August 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of the Guard of Corporal Andrei Markin, who performed combat missions as a driver for the calculation of the anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) target detection station.

After completing the combat mission, when advancing to the area of the unit's location, he heard the sound of the engine of a heavy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and immediately reported to the commander of the calculation. Markin opened fire with his personal weapon at the target and destroyed it. Immediately after the UAV was eliminated, the Guard corporal moved the equipment to a reserve position and later reached the unit.

Thanks to his precise actions, the drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was destroyed, which in turn made it possible to avoid losses among the crew.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation drew attention to the actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Alexei Zhulmin, who worked as part of the medical department and provided assistance to wounded servicemen.

Near the line of contact, Zhulmin organized a collection point for the wounded. He personally, together with his medical instructor, built a shelter for first aid under constant shelling by drones and enemy artillery.

During the period of active hostilities, a junior sergeant of the guard received a seriously wounded soldier with injuries from a mortar shell explosion. Zhulmin promptly carried out resuscitation measures, and after recovery, the military was successfully evacuated to the rear.

Thanks to the professional actions of the junior sergeant of the Guard, it was possible to save the life of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Russia.
