- The second lobby and the platform of the Rizhskaya BKL station will be connected by three corridors
At the Rizhskaya BKL station, three corridors are being built above the existing tracks, which will connect the second ground vestibule with the platform. This was announced on Tuesday, August 12, by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Yefimov.
According to him, the corridors are already 40% ready. Passengers will descend one of the longest escalators in the Moscow metro, then pass through the approach tunnel and exit the platform through three corridors about 17 m long, writes NSN.
The escalator slope has already been built, and the connection to the underground part has been completed. There will be one—way traffic in the side passages, and two-way traffic in the central one. The walls and ceilings will be lined with aluminum panels, and the floor will be lined with marble, RIAMO notes.
Efimov added that Moscow is actively developing the metro: a section of the Troitskaya line will open in September, 16 stations and two new lines are being built. It is planned to build more than 30 stations and extend existing routes by 2030, the website reports. kp.ru .
According to Maxim Gaman, General Director of Mosinzhproekt, over 1.2 thousand cubic meters of soil will be extracted during construction in compliance with environmental regulations. The new lobby near Vodopodny Lane will relieve transport and simplify the transfer between BKL and MCD.
On August 11, the Department of Transport of the capital reported that about 12 million trips have been made by passengers since the launch of the Troitskaya line of the metropolitan subway in 2024, today its passenger traffic is more than 53 thousand trips per working day. Four more stations will be put into operation this fall: Vavilovskaya, Akademicheskaya, Krymskaya and ZIL, the Moscow City News agency reports.
