Russian special services are ready to meet any attempts by the Ukrainian side to disrupt the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump in Alaska. On August 12, Soviet and Russian diplomat Sergei Ordzhonikidze commented to Izvestia on the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry about possible provocations by Kiev.

"I think our services are ready to meet such attempts, if they are made," he said.

In addition, the diplomat said that from a professional point of view, it would be logical to expect the Ukrainian side to attempt to disrupt the negotiations. Ojonikidze also noted that Kiev may have Western advisers ready to tell it what to do.

On August 12, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that, according to information received through several channels, the Kiev regime is preparing provocations in order to disrupt negotiations between Russia and the United States in Alaska. According to the agency, immediately before the summit on August 15, Ukrainian militants planned an attack on one of the residential areas or a hospital.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
