The brutal BAW 212 SUV will receive a special Russian version. Representatives of the official Russian dealer told Izvestia about this on August 12.
The BAW 212 is a classic frame SUV with continuous axles at the front and rear. Under the hood is a 2-liter gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed automatic. Later, they promise a version with a turbodiesel with a capacity of 178 hp.
The interior has a lot of soft materials, an abundance of physical buttons combined with a digital dashboard and a large multimedia screen. The driver's seat is equipped with massage and lumbar support adjustment, while the steering wheel is adjustable only in height.
The BAW 212 is available at an authorized dealer in three trim levels Machinist, Adventurer and Long Wind. The basic version has a rear inter-wheel lock. The middle one received the RUS prefix, as it has factory Russification. It is equipped with two inter-wheel locks, heated windshield, steering wheel and mirrors, and a Russified multimedia system. The top-end equipment features a plastic trim on the front, more comfortable suspension settings, cruise control, factory off-road tuning, including power bumpers and door sills, snorkel, winch and headlight finder. She doesn't have an extended winter package, only heated front seats.
Currently, the Adventurer RUS gets an OTT for the average configuration, but the company is ready to carry all versions of the car with registration for individuals, with a wide range of factory and third-party off-road tuning.
The warranty for the cars is five years or 150 thousand km. The dealer BAW Center DAA is one of the three official importers of BAW. So far, it has three centers in Chita, Omsk and Moscow.
On July 9, it became known that the Chinese automaker Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) announced its entry into the Russian market in the third quarter of 2025. Two models will go on sale — the BAW 212 frame SUV and the BAW MPV minivan.
