In Kamchatka, ash was released to a height of 10 km above sea level from the Klyuchevskaya volcano. This was announced on August 12 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"Klyuchevskaya volcano has once again spewed ash to a height of 10,000 m," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the ash plume spread eastward towards the Pacific Ocean.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations stressed that there are no settlements in this direction, however, in the event of a change in wind, the possibility of ash settling in Ust-Kamchatka and Krutoberegovo is not excluded.

Earlier, on August 11, Klyuchevskaya volcano spewed ash to a height of 9 km. It was clarified that the ash plume stretched 1.1 km east of the volcano. On the same day, an ash discharge to a height of more than 12 km was recorded from Klyuchevsky.
