Sales consultant vacancies became the most in demand in the first half of 2025

For seven months of this year, Russian employers have posted on the online recruiting platform hh.ru almost 6 million new vacancies. According to a study by the platform's analysts, which was reviewed by Izvestia on August 18, job offers for sales consultants and cashiers turned out to be the most in demand.

Since the beginning of the year, Russian employers have placed more than 420 thousand vacancies for these specialists. Analysts have found that this category of workers accounts for 7% of the total number of jobs in 2025 in the country as a whole.

Sales managers took the second place in popularity — they account for 411 thousand vacancies, which is 7% of the total number of offers on the labor market. The profession of a programmer and developer was also included in the ranking of the most sought—after professions - according to the study, this year the Russian business needed more than 71 thousand programmers.

Other professions in demand on the labor market also included drivers, call center operators, cooks, doctors, electricians, machinists, waiters, couriers, welders, design engineers, locksmiths, accountants, storekeepers, administrators, packers, cleaners and handymen. According to the platform, they account for 49% of the total demand in Russia since the beginning of 2025.

On August 7, the Airplane group conducted an online recruitment campaign hh.ru and the ORO marketing research agency, which found that salaries of engineers and architects increased the most in 2025 compared to other positions in the construction industry.
