Insurers talked about the rise in price of auto parts
The prices of spare parts for a number of popular car brands, such as Audi, Hyundai and Kia, have increased. This was announced on August 12 by the press service of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA).
The market continued its stabilization trend, although fluctuations in prices for car parts of different brands vary markedly, the RSA noted. So for a number of the most popular brands like Audi, Hyundai and KIA, there is a "moderate growth". For some brands, for example, Nissan, Lexus, Geely, Haval, insurers note lower prices for spare parts.
Compared to the version of the reference books of the average cost of spare parts, which entered into force on March 19, showed a slight increase of less than 1%, according to the RSA.
The President of the RSA, Evgeny Ufimtsev, said that a public public review of the drafts of the updated version of the reference books of the average cost of spare parts, materials and standard hours of work has begun on the Union's website. The new ones will be used in calculating the cost of car repairs to be reimbursed for CTP.
After the completion of the public review and revision, the RSA plans to put the directories into effect on September 19.
Alexey Tikhomirov, General Director of Lada-Image JSC, told Izvestia on August 5 that counterfeit auto parts pose a serious threat to the safety of drivers and passengers. They can also lead to the failure of warranty repairs and legal consequences.
According to the expert, original products are usually equipped with holograms, QR codes and serial numbers. The difference from the corporate identity, distortion of fonts and colors may also indicate forgery. The expert noted that this applies not only to the packaging, but also to the products themselves: the original parts are marked clearly, by laser or stamping, with a unique serial number that can be checked in the manufacturer's database. If the number is missing or does not match, the part is almost certainly counterfeit.
