An explosion at the U.S. Steel steel mill, located southeast of Pittsburgh in the United States, killed two people and injured 10 others. This was reported on August 12 by NBC NEWS.

It is specified that the explosion occurred between two coke batteries on Monday morning. According to the TV channel, doctors have already discharged five of the ten injured. Five more are in critical but stable condition.

"Officials reported that there are other victims who have been treated on the spot, but they did not name the exact number," the material says.

At the moment, the rest of the plant continues to operate as before.

In addition, the head of Allegheny County, Sarah Innamorato, told reporters that air quality control devices did not detect potentially dangerous gases and solid particles exceeding the indicators. However, residents living near the factory were advised to stay at home and close all windows.
