In 2025, Russian law enforcement agencies prevented 172 terrorist attacks in the country. This was announced on August 12 by the press service of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC).

"This year alone, 172 terrorist attacks aimed at damaging critical and social infrastructure, as well as attacks on military personnel and government officials, have been prevented by coordinated actions of law enforcement agencies," the ministry stressed.

More than 290 migrants were also detained and 18 terrorist attacks were prevented, which they planned to commit in places of mass presence of people. It is noted that people from Central Asia are increasingly being recruited by the special services of Ukraine.

During the current year, law enforcement officers prevented nine armed attacks on educational institutions.

At a meeting of the NAC on April 8, it was reported that since the beginning of this year, 47 terrorist crimes have been prevented, prepared with the participation of young people, including teenagers. The head of the FSB of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov, added that over the past three years, more than 2.5 thousand young people who fell under the influence of Ukrainian neo-Nazis and terrorist organizations have been detained.
