The condition of the Sukhaya Tabola River was checked in the Tula region
In the Tula region, the legality of using the Sukhaya Tabola River in the Kimovsky district is being checked. This was announced on Tuesday, August 12, by the Environmental Prosecutor's office of the region.
Local residents were previously concerned about the condition of the water body, TSN24 writes. In their opinion, the river is dying because of dams.
The staff of the prosecutor's office examined the riverbed near the villages of Maryino and Shatalovka. In the area of the first settlement, they identified pumping units.
At the time of the inspection, there was no water intake from the river. There were also no facts of loss of aquatic biological resources and illegal placement of dams.
The prosecutor's office has requested permits from the regional Ministry of Agriculture on the legality of the use of the river. Based on the results of the audit and if there are grounds, measures will be taken.
At the end of July, Izvestia reported that fines for polluting reservoirs would be doubled in Russia. Now the maximum penalty reaches 2 thousand rubles, and, according to the authors of the initiative, this amount does not stop citizens who continue to litter water bodies.
