The Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) announced the death of at least one serviceman as a result of a missile strike. The message was posted on the department's Telegram channel on August 12.

"While moving to equipped shelters and storage facilities, a group of military personnel entered the cluster munition strike zone. It is known about one dead and 11 wounded of various degrees of severity," the publication says.

It is specified that 12 more servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine sought medical help "with complaints of injury and acute stress." The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on this information, and the location of the training center and its specialization were also not mentioned.

On July 30, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces had launched an attack with the Iskander tactical missile system on the training center of the ground forces of the strategic reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Goncharovskoye, Chernihiv region. The ministry clarified that after the discovery of the training center, missiles with cluster and high-explosive warheads were consistently struck at its coordinates. As a result of the strike, the enemy lost about 200 militants killed and wounded.
