An injured 72-year-old Russian man and his son were evacuated from a mountain peak in the Talgar district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. This was reported on August 12 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.

It is specified that the father and son went up to the Physical Education peak. On the evening of August 11, a massive stone fell on the 72-year-old tourist's leg, as a result of which he was seriously injured. Due to the lack of communication, the young man went down several kilometers to call for help.

"Rescuers provided first aid to the victim and began urgent transportation downstairs, as his condition worsened. At night, additional forces joined the operation," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

On the morning of August 12, a helicopter arrived at Bogdanovich Glacier, which took the man and his son to Boraldai Airport. From there, the victim was transported to the Almaty City Clinical Hospital. The rescue operation lasted more than 13 hours in the conditions of high mountains and difficult terrain.

Earlier, on August 5, in the area of the Mensu glacier in the Altai Republic, a tourist suffered a head injury in a fall on the northeastern slope of Mount Belukha. It was clarified that the 71-year-old resident of Omsk traveled without registering the route with the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. He was evacuated by Mi-8 helicopter.
