The adviser to the head of the DPR announced the beginning of fighting in Rodinsky

Fighting began in the Rodinskoye settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on August 12 by Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the DPR.

"Fighting has started in Rodinsky. This was facilitated, among other things, by the promotion at the Krasnolimanskaya mine," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, Kimakovsky stressed that the fire pressure on the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the settlement is being exerted from three sides at once.

Russian troops have liberated significant territories, putting the Ukrainian Armed Forces in danger of losing strategically important cities.

The day before, units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Lunacharskoye in the DPR. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in the direction amounted to 410 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, five field artillery guns and an electronic warfare (EW) station.
