More than 30 Russian servicemen were awarded the title of Hero of Russia in their military service.

33 Russian military personnel of the Russian Air Force were awarded the title of Hero of Russia in a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on August 12 by the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Andrei Belousov.

"Today, the Air Force is successfully carrying out the tasks of a special military operation. For the courage and heroism shown during the operation, 33 flight personnel were awarded the highest award — the title of Hero of the Russian Federation," Belousov said in a congratulatory message published in the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

In addition, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry congratulated the servicemen on the 113th anniversary of the formation of the Air Force. According to Belousov, military aviation has always been the pride of the Russian army, and its personnel made a great contribution to the victory over Nazi Germany.

He also noted that Russian scientists, designers and engineers are creating new and promising aviation complexes, as well as developing the latest models of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In his opinion, this is possible thanks to the experience gained from veterans.

On August 2, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Belousov had awarded "Gold Stars" to military personnel who had proved themselves in the area of a special military operation. In addition, he thanked the military for their exemplary performance of combat missions and wished them further success in their military service.
