The court extended the arrest of serial killer Vitaly Manishin, who is accused of murdering 11 girls between 1989 and 2000. This was reported on August 12 in the joint press service of the courts of the Altai Territory.

"The Kalmansky District Court of the Altai Territory has extended the preventive measure in the form of detention for up to one year and six months against Manishin until November 21, 2025, inclusive," the press service said on the Telegram channel.

The man was accused of committing crimes under paragraph "e" of Article 102 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR ("Premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances in order to conceal or facilitate another crime") and paragraphs "a, k" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder of two or more persons in order to conceal or facilitate another crime"). its commission, as well as involving rape or violent acts of a sexual nature").

On May 21, the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region announced the transfer of the case of maniac Vitaly Manishin to the Kalmansky District Court of the Altai Territory.
