- The military of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about repelling the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the special operation
Fighters of the Russian Armed Forces successfully repel attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on well-protected military equipment in the area of a special military operation. They told Izvestia about this on August 12.
According to Russian military personnel, the Ukrainian Armed Forces use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during the attack, which include FPV drones, and also resort to large-scale mining of the territory.
As noted by Izvestia correspondent Valentin Trushnin, the so-called "braziers" save from damage to equipment by cumulative jets (the effect that is the result of an explosive wave in a given direction). These are protective nets that disperse the point cumulative jet, thereby reducing its penetration capacity and saving the crew inside. Intelligence data also helps protect the Russian military from enemy attacks.
For example, according to Sergey Deev, a BMP-3 driver from the 506th Motorized Rifle Regiment (MSP) of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division (MSD) of the Center group, he drove past a damaged infantry fighting vehicle (BMP), from which he was called to drive about 15 m to the left, since to the right, as We managed to find out if the mines were hidden.
"This is where the first cumulative jet passed when I was injured. She (the area of damage. — Ed.) it's small here, there's a bigger one under the tower," Deyev showed the correspondent.
According to him, that day, after he was injured, he drove out again, as the injury did not prevent him from pressing the gas pedal, and his car was the closest to all others in position.
Another soldier noted that his specialized military vehicle was hit by an APU drone, which hit the front of the car, leaving deep holes. Fragments of a Ukrainian UAV injured his leg.
Frol Denisov, the BMP-3 gunner of the 560th SME of the 27th MSD of the Center group of forces, also spoke about the attack on his car by enemy drones. Thus, the soldier noted that, having been injured, he continued to shoot until he ran out of bullets.
"I also continued to fire until the BQ (ammunition per unit of weapons) ran out. Well, of course, I prayed to God," Denisov summed up in an interview with Trushnin.
On August 11, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including automotive and armored units, by calculations of FPV drones of the Rubicon advanced Unmanned technology testing center. In addition, the ministry clarified that the temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian militants were also destroyed.
